There is not a hitter in baseball right now that is hotter than Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.
He continued what has been an insane home run tear on Tuesday night by hitting three home runs in the first three innings of the Astros' game against the Texas Rangers.
Here is a look at his third home run in the top of the third inning.

That home run followed solo home runs in the top of the first and second innings on Tuesday as the Astros jumped out to a 9-0 lead.
As if the three home runs in three innings wasn't impressive enough, it continued a stretch of four consecutive home runs in four consecutive at-bats going back to the Astros' 13-6 win over the Rangers on Monday. He also homered in the sixth inning of that game to give him five home runs over a six at-bat stretch.
Altuve has been a star for the Astros from the time he arrived in Houston and has been a cornerstone player for multiple World Series winners. With his performance over the past two games it continues what has been a sensational 2023 campaign that now has him hitting .321 with a .969 OPS and 15 home runs.
The Astros are involved in a three-team race with Texas and the Seattle Mariners for the top spot in the American League West, and this series with the Rangers was a good opportunity for one of those teams to make a big move. So far, it has been the Astros — and Altuve specifically — making the biggest statement.
