The Houston Astros entered the World Series as overwhelming favorites. Now baseball fans are trying to ask themselves why after witnessing an epic collapse in the seventh inning of Game 2 on Tuesday night.
It started on the second pitch of the inning when Washington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki blasted a go-ahead, solo home run off Justin Verlander.

Houston’s All-Star reliever Ryan Pressly entered the game after Verlander walked Victor Robles. Unfortunately for the Astros, Pressly immediately allowed a walk and a single then loaded the bases.
Washington’s designated hitter Howie Kendrick picked up an RBI single on a bad misplay with two outs by Alex Bregman. Bregman’s gaffe proved costly as Asdrubal Cabrera drove in two more runs before things unraveled even further for the Astros.

So if the Astros cannot come back tonight they will need to win 4 of the next 5 and one of those will be a pen game against Patrick Corbin. pic.twitter.com/b3AUO9qZKJ
