NBA Props for Monday, Nov. 20: Turn up the Heat on the road

Back to Monday and feeling pretty good about last week. We were so very close to getting another big payoff thanks to Zion, who tied with the Joker in scoring on Friday night. That voided the bet, so we added another 2-1 day and some profit to the ledger (you gotta know whether those draws are losses or no bet). We finally reached 100 units for the season. Not bad for less than a month, right?

Tonight we have eight games on the schedule to work with. Let's keep adding to these totals.

Results to Date: 25-32, +100 Units  (finally, the century mark)

Anthony Edwards Leading Scorer (+145)

Edwards is having a great season. He is leading the Timberwolves at 26 ppg, even though his scoring has been down over the last few. The opponent tonight is New York and I like the matchups for him. Usually, the top of the leading scorer prop for a game is not as rich as this one so there is every reason to take a swing.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. Over 9.5 Points (+105)

The Heat and Bulls just met, with the Bulls winning. The game ended a five-game stretch where the Miami rookie had been in double digits. He scored just six points in the loss but was efficient. I think the Heat flip the script tonight and he will be a big part of their extra effort to get the road win. Miami is a tough team to beat twice in a row.

Haywood Highsmith 5+ rebounds (+135) alt line

This one might look odd given Highsmith did not even score a point in the recent loss. He was a +20 for the game though showing he can still make a positive contribution. His pricing felt off to for this prop tonight. He was -160 for 3.5 board, so for an extra winning rebound, from four to five, you get a major payoff differential. I think that is worth a shot for a team that is looking to not have their primary center have to bang all game long.

Victor Wembanyama Leading Scorer +450

Taking another swing here. Here is my logic — Los Angeles should dominate the Spurs and with so many mouths to feed they might not have a single standout scorer. As for Wemby, they just want him to play and are not really going to modify his minutes much just because it is a blowout. He has some favorable matchups against an L.A. team that does not have a ton of size or is willing to pay the price. Worth a shot.
