Aaron Rodgers receives hilarious new job title from New York Jets teammate
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) Tom Horak-USA TODAY Sports

It seems as if a brand new team has brought out a brand new approach from future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers when it comes to getting to know his younger teammates. Last year, Rodgers refused to come to organized team activities despite there being three rookie wide receivers in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure. Now that he has been traded to the Jets, Rodgers is present at OTA’s and has been seen out on the town multiple times with his much younger teammates.

The most recent outing was when he attended the New York Knicks playoff game with teammate and Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner. During the game, Rodgers and Gardner met actress Jessica Alba, whom Gardner had never heard of before. Their interaction during the game spilled onto social media after the game and revealed Rodgers’ hilarious new role with the young Jets players.

New York Jets Cornerback Sauce Gardner Calls Aaron Rodgers His “Chaperone”

After the game, Alba tweeted out how nice Gardner and his “elder” Aaron Rodgers were. Gardner responded with this:

Rodgers himself does not tweet often, but he could not let being called an “elder” and a “chaperone” go without comment:

It certainly seems as if Rodgers is enjoying the New York/New Jersey lifestyle so far. Must be nice for the young Jets players.
