What more can be said for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' stud safety? It's hard to even put into words the level of play that Winfield Jr. has been able to provide this season, let alone how much he has meant to this Bucs' defense and team as a whole.
He has lived up to the hype and has continuously impressed in 2023, earning him accolades across the board and he's not quite done.
On Thursday afternoon, Antoine Winfield Jr. was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for December. Throughout the month, Tweeze was at the top of his game compiling 41 tackles, 4 sacks, 4 passes defended, 3 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery.

In large part due to AWJ's play, the Buccaneers were able to go 5-1 in the month of December - greatly influencing their chances to make the playoffs.
Winfield Jr. becomes the first Bucs' defender to win NFC Defensive Player of the Month honors since linebacker Devin White did so in September of 2022 and the first safety to be named to the honor since Budda Baker of the Arizona Cardinals won in 2020. He is the first Buccaneers' safety to ever bring home the honor and the second Tampa Bay player this season to earn Player of the Month - punter Jake Camarda won special teams honors in September.
